Ink Atrament — The word “atramentum” usually refers to an extremely dark inky liquid. The ink that an octopus or some other cephalopod shoots out, for example, is sometimes described as atrament. Ink Atrament, then, is a shade of black that’s even darker than “true” Ink, with a smooth, liquid appearance that hearkens back to its earliest use in the days of ancient Rome.
